HOD - Paediatric surgery

 

Dr. M. Ragavan was trained in the super specialty of pediatric surgery at the prestigious All India institute of medical sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi under well renowned world class authorities. He has many academic achievements and international publications. He has contributed for many text books in the field of pediatric surgery. He worked as associate professor for 3 years in a teaching institute with MCh curriculum. He has MRCS surgery in general Edinburgh, UK qualification also.

 

The Department of Paediatric Surgery in MIOT is well-equipped to handle all kind of elective and emergency pediatric and neonatal surgeries. We have best and state of the art infrastructure operation theatre and paediatric ICU. We imbibe new and innovative methods for better patient care. MIOT Hospitals deal with all the congenital and acquired surgical problems in children aged 1 day to 14 years except for cardiac, eye, ENT and brain problems which are dealt in our respective departments. The department also deals adolescent problems with in comprehensive multi specialty counseling and interventions.

 

MIOT Hospitals has the dedicated paediatric laparoscopy, cystoscopy and flexible endoscopy facility of world class quality. The special interest of the departments is neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, fetal surgery, community oriented pediatrics, stem cell research and minimally invasive procedures. We have daily outpatients and emergency services.
